Desert Designs at the MCA |
August 14th, 2013 |
Opening this weekend at the MCA, string theory features extraordinary pieces from a diverse range of Aboriginal artists working with expanded notions of textile and craft traditions. Visit this Saturday for a full day of talks, workshops and exhibits.
And look out for a Desert Designs giant silk scarf installation of Jimmy Pike’s texta pen drawings, plus pieces from Tjanpi Desert Weavers – who you may remember from our Desert Designs Project at Poepke.
