Dries Van Noten
February 8th, 2012
Prepare to take a night flight over the city lights of Vegas before being immersed in limpid waves, low-hanging palm fronds and pink lamé! We have received our first drop of Dries Van Noten’s lovely Spring Summer 2012 collection and it is now available in store.
This collection marks the first time that Dries has used photographic prints in his designs, and was borne from a collaboration with Marseille- based artist James Reeve. Reeve’s images- of cityscapes photographed at night and stripped of all identifying factors but “the vivid scars of light that pierce the darkness”- have been placed alongside 17th century copperplate etchings, 18th century botanical images and found images of jungles and seascapes. The result is a range of lushly visual garments in hues of petrol green, pink, turquoise, crisp white and soft black.
